The romance between reality TV star JoJo Siwa and actor-presenter Kath Ebbs has come to a fiery end, after Ebbs confirmed in a video that JoJo dumped them at the Celebrity Big Brother afterparty.
The split follows speculation sparked by JoJo’s closeness with fellow contestant and Love Island star Chris Hughes. JoJo’s solo appearance at the afterparty — where she celebrated finishing third — had already fuelled rumours of a breakup.
Ebbs, who uses they/them pronouns, addressed the situation today by posting a video on Instagram confirming the split took place at the afterparty. They revealed they had refused to reunite with JoJo backstage for a planned on-camera moment.
In the emotional clip, Ebbs said: “I am filming this in a complete state of shock. I honestly feel so numbed out right now and disorientated that I feel like the only thing I have to do in this situation is to finally address it after two weeks of sitting back watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person who it involved.”
Ebbs also suggested they had been "lovebombed" throughout JoJo’s time on Celebrity Big Brother — describing a coercive technique where excessive affection is used to gain control over a partner.
Following the afterparty, Ebbs was seen leaving the venue alone, dressed in black, while JoJo stayed on to party with guests, including Hughes.
Chris Hughes and JoJo’s flirty moments during the show — including hot tub scenes, massages, JoJo licking chocolate off Chris's shorts, and Chris calling her his “girlfriend” — had already raised eyebrows among viewers. Although Hughes later denied any romantic feelings when he was evicted, JoJo spoke fondly of their bond.
“I’m so incredibly grateful for him, he has helped me have my hard times in this house, he’s helped me get through them, but more importantly, he has helped me create my happiest times in this house,” she said.“He is more than a friend, he is just such a special guy, I’m so lucky.”
JoJo, who rose to fame on Dance Moms, said during the show that she no longer identifies as a lesbian, after her behaviour with Hughes was called out by another contestant.
She and Kath Ebbs began their relationship after JoJo travelled to Australia for the TikTok Awards, shortly after her split from dancer Dakayla Wilson.
