A joint operations room is set to be established in Cairo to oversee the implementation of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage deal agreement, as reported by Egypt’s state-run local news outlet. The agreement, which is expected to come into effect on Sunday, will be monitored through three phases, with the initial phase anticipated to span six weeks.
According to a senior Egyptian official quoted by the local news source, all necessary preparations have been finalized to ensure the smooth execution of the agreement. This includes the formation of a joint operations room in Cairo, which will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the agreed-upon procedures.
The operations room will comprise representatives from Egypt, Qatar, the US, Israel, and Palestinian officials. Their primary objective will be to oversee and verify compliance with the terms outlined in the agreement, ensuring that all parties involved adhere to the stipulated conditions.
