New Delhi: A team of senior officers from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) will be going soon to the UK to expedite extradition of India's most wanted fugitives, including diamond trader Nirav Modi, Kingfisher Airlines promoter Vijay Mallya, and defence dealer Sanjay Bhandari, reliable sources said on Tuesday.
In the meantime, the Indian government, through its High Commission in the UK, has already started process to identify their properties abroad to take prossession of the 'proceeds of crime'.
The joint CBI-ED-NIA team is expected to leave for London any time this month. Besides expediting the process of extradition of the fugitives, the team is learnt to seek information about assets obtained by them in London, including their banking transactions. (Agencies)
