January is always a tough month for your money - it follows a busy December and often an expensive Christmas.

But the cost of living crisis means many families are feeling the squeeze more than ever right now.

If you’re worried about your finances, the start of a New Year is the perfect time to go through your spending and start afresh.

Thankfully, there are plenty of things you can do to give your money an overhaul.

Mirror money editor Levi Winchester will be joined by Myron Jobson, senior personal finance analyst at interactive investor, the second largest platform for private investors in the UK, to run through all the things you need to know.

We’ll be going live at 12pm today (January 12) on the Daily Mirror Facebook page to discuss everything you need to know.

You can ask us a question live, or email us beforehand at mirror.money.saving@mirror.co.uk .

We'll start by running through each of the main bills we all pay, to discuss how you can cut back your costs.

This could be from haggling in the right way, to finding better deals elsewhere, or making the most of discounts that you might not realise you're eligible for.

We'll then go into how you can make the money you do have, stretch further - and how to make extra cash (sometimes without even leaving your home).

Finally, we'll run through all the help and advice you can get now if you're in debt.

It's important not to let your debt build up any further, so don't suffer in silence as there are organisations out there to help.

It comes as credit card borrowing in the UK soared in November to its highest monthly level since 2004.

The latest data from the Bank of England showed individuals borrowed an additional £1.5billion in all forms of consumer credit.

This is made up of £1.2billion just on credit cards.
