Johnny Vegas jokingly stormed off Tuesday's instalment This Morning following a savage comment made by host Josie Gibson.
The comedian appeared on the daytime chat show to discuss his new TV show Carry On Glamping with co-hosts Josie and Craig Doyle. He will be joined by his assistant Bev as they go on a campervan adventure in the new Channel 4 show.
Speaking about his camper van, who Johnny named Patricia after his own mother, he explained how the vehicle ended up crashing into a barn. "I think it was genuine, everything about it was, 'this is how it goes'," he said of the TV show. "We always said, 'I don't wanna do that show that coz you're on telly, everything works out for you'. It doesn't, you know and it's not meant to, it's life innit," Johnny added.
Josie then bluntly replied: "It certainly doesn't for you," but Johnny looked taken aback by her brutal comment. "Thanks! I'll just walk off and cry now," Johnny said before standing up and walking off as he sang: "All by myself..."
Giggling on the sofa, Josie apologised as Craig gave a few other examples of how harsh Josie was on Tuesday's show. "Best thing I've ever heard in an interview!" Johnny said as he sat back down and Josie squealed: "I'm so sorry!"
"Up until that point, he was feeling pretty good about himself, look what you've done," Craig teased her. "I obviously disgust you... my very existence," Johnny joked.
Fans absolutely loved the hilarious interaction between Johnny and Josie as they took to Twitter during the show. One fan tweeted: "Telly is always funnier when Johnny Vegas is on. #ThisMorning "
Another wrote: "Johnny Vegas always manages to de-rail an interview," A third penned: "Johnny Vegas on #ThisMorning cracks me up"
However, not everyone found the hijinks funny. One user said: "Am i the only one who really doesn't find Johnny Vegas funny? I'm sure he's a nice chap but not funny #ThisMorning "
Another tweeted: "I can't stand Johnny Vegas! #ThisMorning," A third wrote: " #thismorning I’ve never found Johnny Vegas funny."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
