Johnny Knoxville heckled Sami Zayn throughout his Wrestlemania 39 moment

NSFW language AND Wrestlemania 39 spoilers are ahead. You’ve been warned.

Last year, Johnny Knoxville and Sami Zayn put together the greatest celebrity match in Wrestlemania history in a completely bonkers Anything Goes showdown. That match paid off a rivalry that had consumed months leading up to the 2022 event and even the red carpet of the Jackass 4 premiere.

Knoxville won that brawl with help from the rest of the Jackass family. But Zayn won the war, emerging from defeat to play a starring role in the WWE’s most compelling storyline of the last year. This led a a headlining match at Wrestlemania 39, where he and longtime frenemy Kevin Owens ended nearly two years of Uso dominance to claim the company’s undisputed tag team championships.

It was a finish that left the Los Angeles crowd cheering in adulation. Except for Knoxville, who made it clear he does not forget despite a career where a short memory would truly be an asset.

The video above is courtesy of Reddit user Yezsirskiis, who posted it Sunday afternoon. They went on to note this was not an isolated incident; Knoxville kept it up throughout the 24-minute match.

At first he was chanting “Sami Sucks” for a good 30 seconds by himself and finally someone turned around and noticed it was him.

Yezsirskiis wasn’t the only person to notice the hate emanating from the luxury booth.

And indeed, when the two were face-to-face earlier in the day, they declared their blood feud alive and well.

“I literally hope you break your leg. And your face,” Knoxville told his in-ring rival.

Despite the heckling, Zayn persevered and won tag team gold. Now he and Owens will have to take on all comers to defend the belts. Knoxville is 1-0 against Zayn all-time in the squared circle. The question now is whether he can recruit Chris Pontius, Steve-O or Jason “Wee Man” Acuna to make a run at the WWE titles.
