Johnny Kenny has confirmed that he will return to Celtic in the January transfer window.
The striker, 21, has been performing well for loan club Shamrock Rovers, and it seems Brendan Rodgers wants a closer look at him.
The frontman - who joined Celtic in 2022 - continued his fine form this season by scoring twice as the League of Ireland side defeated Borac Banja Luka 3-0 at the Tallaght Stadium on Thursday evening.
The victory helped Rovers secure a spot in the knockouts of the Europa Conference League post-Christmas, with next week's visit to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea now a free-hit.
They already had one foot in the next round after wins over Larne and The New Saints, as well as draws with APOEL Nicosia and Rapid Vienna
Kenny spoke to the media after the game, as he confirmed recent rumours that he'd be recalled by the Scottish Premiership champions in January.
"I'm going to go back to Celtic and train to see where it takes us," the youngster said. "But I just want to enjoy the occasion next week.
"The club and players deserve it. I just want to enjoy Christmas and then see what comes in January.

"I think I'm a lot different going back, as you can see from this year.
"But to play for Celtic Football Club you have to go to another level and that's what I have to do.
"Obviously, it's a big ask but it's been good this year, very good, but this year will be gone when I go back to Celtic in January so you have to impress there.
"This will be gone and it won't be worth anything really.
"I just have to go there and show Brendan in training that you're worth it."
