A pregnant bar manager was left stunned when Johnny Depp walked into the pub where she worked – and offered her parenting advice.
Lauren Whittington was halfway through her shift at the Bridge Tavern in Newcastle when the Hollywood actor came in.
The 58-year-old was in the northern city as he made a surprise performance on stage with his musician pal Jeff Beck.
The pair were also joined by Seventeen Going Under singer Sam Fender, who hails from North Shields.
After getting a photo with Johnny, Lauren revealed he later gave her some parenting advice when he was realised she was pregnant.

She said: “None of us could believe it. He went unnoticed for maybe an hour before anyone realised it was him and Jeff Beck just sat eating fish and chips together in the corner.
“His security came over and asked if there was any way we could get Sam Fender in without people ambushing him, so we shut off our upstairs terrace for them to go up there.
“They were really grateful and stayed for a couple of hours, with Sam staying long after Johnny and Jeff left.
"He [Johnny] noticed I’m pregnant and was asking me how long I have left.
“Then he was giving me some advice on nappies, lack of sleep, and the first few weeks of parenthood, saying it’ll be the greatest gift I ever receive and I won’t know love like it until I look into her eyes for the first time.
“He was also talking about his kids, who are grown up now, and how magical being a parent is."
Lauren said the bar staff wished Johnny luck as he was in the pub just before the verdict in his defamation trial was announced.
A US jury found in favour of Johnny following a six-week libel case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
In a statement he thanked jurors for “giving his life back” after Amber’s allegations saw him dropped from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and other roles.
He said: “Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed. All in the blink of an eye."
The actor continued: “False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me.
"It had already travelled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career.
“And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.”
Johnny was not in court for the verdict as he is currently touring the UK. He is set to play at Manchester’s 02 Apollo on Saturday June 4, followed by appearances in York and Glasgow.
