Johnny Depp's Scots former bodyguard has given evidence in his libel case against estranged wife Amber Heard.
Security guard Malcolm Connolly, whose Scots accent could clearly be heard as he spoke regarding the latest developments in the courtroom, was once one of Johnny's close staff members.
Malcolm worked in and around Johnny and his household for around 23 years and was detailing his own experiences with the actor, via video link.
The $50 million libel case rolls on in Virginia as the Pirates of the Caribbean star sues his actress ex-wife over an article she wrote on domestic abuse in The Washington Post in 2018.
The column did not actually mention Johnny's name and Amber, 36, has hit back by countersuing Johnny for $100million.
As was reported in the New York Post, Connolly said he never saw any injuries on Amber's body.
He also said he saw Depp sporting injuries like scratches, bruising, and a swollen lip.
He said to the court: “It would be scratches on his neck, maybe a fat lip in the corner.
“He had bruising on the eye socket. It would get more regular.
"Not every week, but it definitely happened, yeah.”
He also spoke about a picture from 2015 which was taken during Johnny and Amber's honeymoon in Malaysia.
Connolly said he could see his employer's face was swollen, and added: "He walked into a door, or a door walked into him.
"I could see Amber wanted to wear the pants in the relationship. Amber could get frosty in the drop of a hat.”
He continued: "I could see Amber wanted to wear the pants in the relationship. Amber could get frosty in the drop of a hat.”
Malcolm added he witnessed Depp under the influence of drugs on a few occasions.
He said: "I’ve seen him smoke marijuana. I have my suspicions that when he was off to the bathroom he probably does cocaine. I’ve never seen him do it."
