Johnny Depp's 'brutal' texts about Amber Heard to doctor are shared in court

Johnny Depp's texts to his private doctor about Amber Heard have been heard in court as the $50 million libel trial continues.

The 58-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor told Dr David Kipper that Amber, 35, was "as full of s*** as a Christmas goose" as the jury heard more details about the pair's relationship.

Johnny Depp turned to Dr Kipper, who is a Beverly Hills based doctor who treats celebrities for addiction, in 2014 when he had an opioid addiction, with a plan being made that he would go to an island in the Bahamas to detox.

The doctor was asked about texts that the trial heard were sent by Depp on March 7, 2015, in which the actor tore into his ex-wife.

Johnny wrote: "Hi f**k man had another one. I cannot live like this. She is as full of s*** as a Christmas Goose."

He continued: "I'm done. NO MORE!!!! Constant insults released from a malicious evil and vindictive c**t!!!!!

"You know what's far more hurtful than her venomous and degrading educational ranting???

"Her hideously and purposely hurtful tirades and her goddamn shocking treatment of the man she was meant to love above all."

Depp's texts continued: "Here's the real deal mate…her obsession with herself is far more important. She is so f***ing ambitious!!!!

"She's so desperate for success and fame. That's probably why I was acquired, mate. She has hammered me with what a sad old man has been I am. I'm so very sad."

Dr Kipper said that when treating Depp in May 2014 that his initial diagnosis was: "ADHD, Bipolar 1, depression , insomnia, chronic substance abuse disorder, chronic reflux."

The doctor added that during a consultation with Depp and Amber in June 2014, which was in person at Boston, she didn't mention that Johnny was violent.

When questioned, Dr Kipper confirmed that he would have documented it if Amber had mentioned it.

Dr Kipper's notes about Amber were read out in court, which said: "Amber has a strong family history of drug and alcohol abuse and is particularly sensitive to his (Depp's behaviours and potential for abuse)."

When asked whether "abuse" meant substance abuse, Dr Kipper replied: "Yes, not physical abuse."

Dr Kipper explained that by "particularly sensitive" he meant: "Having grown up in that environment she's used to seeing the trauma that it inflicts and is not only able to recognise it but also it affects her. She has the ability to understand what that looks like."

Dr Kipper said that Amber told him this information herself.
