Johnny Depp's second directorial feature Modi – Three Days on the Wing of Madness is set to premiere out of competition at the 72nd San Sebastian Film Festival. The festival recently unveiled updates to its program, revealing that Depp's movie is a biopic centered on the life of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.

Depp, known for his acting prowess and more recently for his legal battles with ex-wife Amber Heard, made his directorial debut with The Brave back in 1997. His contributions to the film industry were recognized when he was honored with the prestigious Donostia Award at the 2021 San Sebastian Film Festival for his outstanding lifetime achievements.

Modi – Three Days on the Wing of Madness boasts a star-studded cast including Riccardo Scamarcio as Modigliani, alongside Al Pacino, Stephen Graham, and Antonia Desplat. The film promises to deliver a captivating narrative revolving around art, love, and rejection, as it follows a tumultuous 72-hour journey through the streets and bars of war-torn Paris during World War I.
