John Travolta has led the tributes to actress Kirstie Alley after her children broke the news of her death on Monday night.
The actress, famed for her role as Rebecca Howe on hit US sitcom Cheers, passed away after a short battle with cancer.
Following the news, her Look Who's Talking co-star John Travolta took to social media to share his devastation.
Posting a picture of him and Kirstie smiling together on Instagram, the actor wrote: "Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again."
Shortly after, he shared a clip of the pair of them dancing during a scene on 1993's Look Who's Talking Now.
Sister, Sister star Jackee Harry took to Twitter to share her words, writing: "Whether you agreed with her or not, Kirstie Alley was an undeniable talent who brought joy to many – through the screen and with her warm, hilarious spirit. RIP, luv. You were one of a kind."
She shared her post by quote tweeting a post Kirstie tagged her in in 2018 in which she stated her love for her.
Jamie Lee Curtis, who starred alongside the actress on Scream Queens, wrote: "I’ve just heard the sad news that Kirstie Alley has died. She was a great comic foil in @tvscreamqueens and a beautiful mama bear in her very real life. She helped me buy onesies for my family that year for Christmas. We agreed to disagree about some things but had a mutual respect and connection. Sad news."
And Kelsey Grammer, a co-star from Cheers, told Variety: "I always believed grief for a public figure is a private matter, but I will say I loved her."
Country singer Travis Tritt also took to Twitter to share his own message of condolence, sharing the family statement while writing: "Shocked and saddened by the news of Kirstie Alley."
Candace Owens shared her own thoughts, writing: "So sad about Kirstie Alley. She was so sweet. Sending love to her family."
They were just a number of the heartfelt posts shared by fans of the star across platforms as many took to sharing their favourite clips from her career.
Kirstie's kids, True and Lillie Parker, shared the devastating news of their mum's passing initially. In a statement shared across the star's social media accounts, they wrote: "To all our friends, far and wide around the world...
"We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered.
"She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother."
They went on to praise their mum's "zest and passion for life" before thanking her for inspiring them to "live life to the fullest just as she did".
