John Terry has reacted to Mohamed Salah’s physique following claims by Dejan Lovren that he had photoshopped the image of himself.
Salah is currently on holiday on the Greek island of Mykonos after signing a new three-year contract extension with the Reds last week, keeping him at Anfield until 2025.
The Egpytian posted a photo of himself shirtless getting out of the sea, leading to comments from former club teammates Lovren and Terry - who both poked fun at their old colleague. Lovren responded to the image with: “Photoshop 100%”.
That led to ex-Chelsea star Terry, who also briefly played alongside to Salah, to respond with two laughing faces and the comment: “To be fair if I looked like that I would be posting pics,” followed by a bicep emoji.
The Egyptian’s new contract at Anfield makes him the club’s highest-paid player of all-time, having pocketed a £350,000-a-week salary as part of the deal.
Speaking after signing his new deal, Salah said he is excited to stay on Merseyside and is aiming to win more trophies with Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Salah told Liverpool ’s club website: “I feel great and [I am] excited to win trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone.
“It takes a little bit of time, I think, to renew, but now everything is done so we just need to focus on what’s next. I think you can see in the last five or six years the team was always going [upwards].
"Last season we were close to winning four, but unfortunately in the last week of the season we lost two trophies. I think we are in a good position to fight for everything. We have new signings as well. We just need to keep working hard, have a good vision, be positive and go for everything again.”
Salah was part of a Liverpool side who last season came close to winning an unprecedented quadruple of club trophies in a season, lifting the FA Cup and Carabao Cup after penalty shootout victories over Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.
Liverpool almost added the Premier League and Champions League to that trophy collection. Manchester City pipped them on the final day of last season to the league title, while the Reds lost 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris.
With national side Egypt, Salah also lost out in the final of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations to Senegal on penalties, with his former Reds teammate Sadio Mane part of the side that beat him.
