Chelsea legend John Terry has issued a message to supporters as he looks to buy a 10 per cent stake in the club with the True Blues Consortium.
The Premier League-winning defender posted on Instagram emphasising his desire to protect the history of the club. Thomas Tuchel's side have been rocked off the pitch following the government sanctions on owner Roman Abramovich.
In light of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, there were heavy implications on Russian oligarchs. Initially, Abramovich confirmed in a statement that he had handed over the stewardship of the club to the trustees but his efforts to sell the club were blocked, leaving the Blues in limbo.

In a post to his 6.5m followers, Terry said: "Chelsea has been such an important part of my life for 22 years. I want to see the club's history and heritage protected as we go into a new era with like-minded people who have the same long-term vision of building the best football club in the world and understand how important our DNA is."
A link in his bio revealed that he had joined forces with a group of fans and former players to form the True Blues Consortium, a group seeking to purchase a 10 per cent stake in Chelsea. Fans can purchase a share of the club for as little as £100.
As it stands, there are a number of interested parties eyeing the 2020 Champions League winners. Todd Boehly, a consortium led by the Ricketts family and Ken Griffin, and New York Jets owner Woody Johnson are all among the reported suitors.
