John Terry claims Erling Haaland could go down as the greatest ever Premier League player.
The Manchester City forward continued his sensational form by bagging a treble in the Manchester derby, meaning he has now scored 17 goals in 11 games following his summer move. 14 of those strikes have come in the league, which includes three hat-tricks.
Haaland was a huge star in Germany and his departure from Borussia Dortmund had long been expected. City won the race for his signature and are reaping the benefits as the forward continues to break records. There is already talk of him smashing the single season goal record - which currently stands at 32.
Terry, who came up against the likes of Thierry Henry during his career, has gone early with his claim that the Norwegian could prove to be the best player to ever grace English shores. He said on Bein Sports: "Shout so early - he could be the greatest ever in the Premier League. I've never seen a player so young have the desire to score the goals he scores. He's just relentless."
Haaland has given City a new dimension with Pep Guardiola's team previously renowned for their possession-based style which often saw them play a false 9 system. They had been criticised for their lack of productivity in the past, but the arrival of Haaland has given them a unique cutting edge in the final third, which has already been proven this term.
The forward said after his hat-trick against Manchester United : "Yeah, not bad! We scored six goals! What can I say. It's amazing. To win at home, score six goals, it's nice. You can feel it all the time. You can see the passes we give each other. We always want to go forward and to attack. It's what I love about the team. In the end, it's amazing. There is nothing more to say."

Haaland is not expected to spend the remainder of his career on the blue half of Manchester, which could rule out any hope of claiming the all-time Premier League scoring record. But the success of City in recent years means that the Norwegian is set to score with regularity and pick up a host of honours.
Guardiola has confessed that Haaland's numbers "are scary" as the 22-year-old continues to find the net. He said: "The numbers speak for himself. He has done this before here. It is not our way. Always we try to help him in our environment. We have this incredible sense that he always looks starving and is so competitive. The numbers are scary, honestly."
