John Terry labels Harry Kane as ‘world class’ after watching Tottenham striker overtake Thierry Henry

Chelsea legend John Terry labeled Harry Kane as “world class” after the Tottenham striker bagged a brace against Everton on Monday night.

The 28-year-old moved ahead of Thierry Henry in the list of all-time Premier League goal-scorers with a double at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, taking his overall tally to 176 goals.

Frank Lampard, who watched Kane destroy his side, is next up on the list to overtake with 177 and Sergio Aguero’s haul of 184 remains in sight between now and the end of the season.

Terry was active on social media throughout the game, quipping “This could be 6” during the first-half after watching his former teammate’s side torn apart time and time again by Spurs.

Prior to Antonio Conte’s arrival, Kane had struggled in a way he rarely has throughout his career.

After a botched move to Manchester City over the course of the summer, the England captain failed to score until October but has returned to form of late.

Five goals in his last four games has helped Spurs relaunch their push to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Having overtaken Henry, Terry tweeted “@HKane WORLD CLASS”.
