John Stones believes Manchester City can make history this season as he predicted an even bigger push for Champions League glory.
Pep Guardiola's side have broken a number of records over the last five years and won four Premier League titles in that time as well as a clutch of domestic cups. However, they have continued to fall short on the European stage with only one final to their name in six attempts under the current manager.
Expectations are high at the Etihad again after a summer of major change that has seen several exciting signings arrive, and the Blues will be expected to challenge in all competitions. And Stones reckons the team are capable of winning everything they are in, and has challenged the squad to break more new ground as they aim to keep picking up silverware.

“We have got to fight for every competition. We did it three or four years ago now, we won everything in England. Obviously the big one that the club has never achieved is the Champions League, so we are going to do everything in our power to win that. I think our motivation is even higher now after what happened last year in that competition.
"We want to get trophies back or retain trophies and make history for this club over this season. That is the aim, it has been done before, us winning every trophy in England and we have got to make that next step.
"We have been saying it for years I know, but I truly believe this team and the environment we have got, we can achieve these things."
