John Lundstram in Ibrox rallying call ahead of Rangers Champions League clash with PSV

JOHN LUNDSTRAM has issued an Ibrox rallying call as Rangers aim to overcome PSV and take a step closer to the Champions League.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side warmed up for their play-off clash with a 4-0 victory at home to St Johnstone on Saturday.

The Premiership win came just days after a rousing success over Union Saint-Gilloise that saw Rangers overturn a first leg deficit to progress on a memorable night under the floodlights.

The presence of a capacity home crowd could prove crucial once again as Ruud van Nistelrooy's side prepare to make the trip to Glasgow.

And Lundstram is pleased with another step in the right direction after a comfortable win over the Saints set Rangers up for their European date with destiny.

Lundstram said: "Really happy. Performance wise it was probably better than last week against Killie I would say. A lot more flowing so a pleasing afternoon all round.

"The quality of our squad is amazing. People coming on the pitch could easily start the game.

"Load of credit to the squad that the manager has put together that we can strengthen rather than weaken when we make substitutions.

"Training is really high quality now, intensity wise, there are a lot of leaders in the group now as well. It will stand us in good stead.

"It is another massive night for the club [on Tuesday] and we are going to need everyone behind us again.

"We are going to need to produce the atmosphere like we did last week again. We need everything we can get.

"Of course, 100 per cent [you can feed off the crowd]. It does give you that extra ten per cent, no doubt about it.

"It really does motivate you and get you going and give you that extra yard of pace in everything. We need it again."
