John Hartson names 2 Celtic transfer headaches Ange Postecoglou still must solve as he offers 'not content' take

Celtic hero John Hartson reckons Ange Postecoglou won't be satisfied with his recruitment drive and will look to add before the window slams shut.

However, he reckons the Celtic Park boss will have to focus on offloading the likes of Albian Ajeti and Mikey Johnston before all the business is done on September 1. It has been a busy summer in Glasgow's east end following the permanent additions of Daizen Maeda, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota, with Benjamin Siegrist, Moritz Jenz, Aaron Mooy, Alexandro Bernabei and Sead Haksabanovic also committing to the Scottish champions.

The Welshman has no doubts that Postecoglou will be looking to add new faces, but reckons the tougher task could be finding suitors for Ajeti and Johnston. Both have rarely featured since the Australian took charge, and have both failed to make a single Scottish Premiership appearance so far this term with Postecoglou looking to slash the size of the Celtic squad.

Hartson told The Go Radio Football Show: "Ange has said they are working in the background. They will have somebody now looking at recruitment.

'Every day after training they will have a recruitment officer coming to training saying we have just been offered this player. Agents will be trying to get Ange's number, they will be trying to get John Kennedy's number. They will be on to them all the time.

"I think if there is a good player they will go and get them. Managers are never really content. If there is something there and they feel they can add to the team, they will go an say to their chairman 'is there a little bit more for me?'.

"It might depend on one or two going. Ajeti might go and has been told he can leave, Mikey Johnson has been told he can leave. At times it's more difficult to get players out of the door than sign players."
