John Goodman, 70, looks unrecognisable as he flaunts his incredible 14 stone weight loss

John Goodman looks slimmer than ever after dropping a whopping 200lb (14.3 stone) as part of his epic weight loss journey.

The Flintstones star, 70, vowed to completely transform his life back in 2007 and adopt a healthy lifestyle and it seems he's definitely been keeping up with his plan.

John, who previously weighed 392lb (28 stone), flaunted his slimmed down frame at the 62nd Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco on Sunday as he posed for the cameras on the red carpet.

The actor, who was serving as jury president at the festival, looked incredible wearing a fitted suit jacket which he paired with beige trousers and a yellow tie.

John finished his look with a pair of brown suit shoes.

Speaking about the decision to make John jury president, festival organiser Laurent Puons said: "John Goodman is, quite frankly, a legend.

"My grandson loves him, my mother loves him and I love him. He's crossed several generations with a phenomenal film career, and a phenomenal television career."

Speaking to Variety, Laurent added: "He's done it all, played every role. If he wasn't leading the jury, we'd give him our lifetime achievement award."

Personal trainer Mackie Shilstone then helped the actor take his weight loss even further by introducing John to a "Mediterranean-style eating plan".

This involves focusing on eating fish, nuts, olive oil, vegetables and fruit.

John also works out six days a week, making sure to take 10,000 to 12,000 steps a day.

The actor opened up about his weight loss to ABC in 2017, saying: "In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a six-pack or whatever and just go back to my old habits.

"This time I wanted to do it slowly. Move, exercise. I'm getting to the age where I can't afford to sit still anymore."

He also told Howard Stern: "I took it slow. I just wanted to change my lifestyle", and admitted new way of living is "an ongoing process for the rest of my life."
