Tyson Fury's dad John has told Oleksandr Usyk he will never fight his son without making a public apology on video.
Talks of an undisputed heavyweight world title fight between Fury and Usyk broke down earlier this year despite the Ukrainian agreeing to a 70/30 purse split in Fury's favour. The two parties disagreed over a rematch clause and the fight was subsequently cancelled, but there is still hope it could take place in Saudi Arabia at the end of the year.
Fury Sr has now laid out his terms for the undisputed clash to take place, as he told Seconds Out : "That little Ukrainian rabbit doesn’t want to fight Tyson. He’s trying to kill two birds with one stone, turn the public against Tyson which they’ve done a good job of because the public’s daft anyway and think the Saudis are gonna pay him silly money. I’ve got news for you – you’re gonna wait a long time.

“I’ll tell you what’s gonna happen here. Until he gets on and makes a proper video explaining what he did, tell the truth, he may never get the fight with Tyson. It’s gone past money now with Tyson. It’s gone past everything with us. They are taking the p***. If it ever does come off, it will be when he apologises for trying to bamboozle the public.”
'The Gypsy King' has been struggling to book a fight in recent months and he called out MMA duo Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou after teasing a big announcement on social media. Usyk has signed with Saudi Arabian promotion Skills Challenge in the hopes of setting up an undisputed fight against Fury, but the deal will not get in the way of his mandatory title defence against Daniel Dubois in August.
Fury's promoter Frank Warren is yet to receive an offer from the Middle East to host the undisputed fight, but Skills Challenge's Amer Abdallah has promised a "premium offer" is coming their way shortly. Fury Sr even thinks 30 per cent is too generous of a purse split for Usyk as he is set to take 50 per cent pay cut for his upcoming fight against Dubois.
“Thirty per cent was too much for him," Fury Sr added. "He's still stood to make £17 million at Wembley. It shows how much of a liar and a coward he is when he’s boxing Daniel Dubois for peanuts compared to it. Tyson will fight anybody, anywhere in the world, if in a business sense it’s right.”
