Arkansas secured a 76-60 victory against Lipscomb in their season opener, marking a successful debut for new head coach John Calipari. The 16th-ranked Razorbacks showcased their talent with a strong performance, fending off a second-half rally by Lipscomb.

Freshman guard Boogie Fland led the scoring for Arkansas with 17 points, while Johnell Davis, a transfer from Florida Atlantic, contributed 15 points to the team's victory.

Despite Lipscomb's efforts to narrow the gap in the second half, Arkansas maintained control of the game. Zvonimir Ivisic, one of the new additions to the Razorbacks' lineup, played a crucial role in halting Lipscomb's momentum with a quick scoring burst.
