Comedian John Bishop has received support from celebrity friends and fans after sharing an emotional post. John took to Instagram on Thursday, June 22, to share a post about his mum who sadly passed away in 2022.
Yesterday would have been his mum's birthday, and so the Liverpool-born comedian shared a photo of himself and his mum reports The Liverpool Echo. Alongside the post he wrote: "I was told that when you lose someone you then have to face a series of ‘firsts’.
"The first time you have to tell people, the first weekend without them, the first dream with them in it, the first time you think of phoning them and realise you can’t, the first time you try to remember their voice, the first mothers or fathers day, the first anniversary of their passing.
What three words would you use to describe Nottinghamshire? Let us know
"It is always the ‘firsts’ you have to go through that are said to hurt the most. Today its my Mum’s birthday- the first one since she left us. For all of us it will be hard."
"She loved music - it was was a love that never left her even in her hospital bed we played music all night. I will spend the weekend at the Glastonbury festival in a field with 250,000 other people. But I know there will be a moment when I hear one song, something she may have never heard but which I know she would have liked, and when I hear it I know I will be dancing alone with my mum in her kitchen."
John added: "This is the last photograph we had together and I treasure it. We all love you Mum".
Nottingham's Line of Duty star Vicky McClure posted heart emojis on the post, while Angela Lonsdale said: "Lots of love John xx". Fay Ripley said: "What a gorgeous mum and a gorgeous son x.
Hilary Whitehall said: "Beautiful sentiments for your beautiful mama. Sending love from M and me. Xx"
