In court documents, Cope stated June as the month of separation between her and Lawrence. She filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split. Cope, 37, requested sole physical custody of their 1-year-old daughter, Dylan Rose, and waived any rights for spousal support.
She expressed opposition to Lawrence having extended visitation rights until their daughter is older and able to consent. The court documents outlined specific conditions for visitation, including restrictions on non-family members being present during visits with Lawrence.
The couple met while working on the Lifetime movie 'My Husband’s Secret Brother' and got engaged in August 2021. Lawrence, 48, had previously mentioned that their relationship was unexpected as he typically avoids getting romantically involved with co-stars.
