Joesef taking over Glasgow Barras Market stall this weekend to release new album

Joesef has been a support act for Glasgow music icon Paolo Nutini and appeared on Elton John's Rocket Hour radio show - now the Garthamlock singer will be showcasing his own album at the Barras Market this Saturday.

Fans will be able to grab the rising star's new album Permanent Damage, which'll be released on Friday, from the man himself as he fronts his very own stall selling his album in vinyl, CD and cassette copies from 10am on January 14.

This isn't his first gig at the Barras as he played his first sold out show at the legendary venue back in 2021.

The special Barras pop-up is part of a run of activity around the album’s release, which includes launch gigs and signings at Glasgow Monorail on January 13.

Joesef said: "Going to have a pop up shop in the Barrowlands Market on the 14th of January! I thought it'd be funny to dish out beers, blast some tunes and punt some vinyl's and merch for the young team.

"The Barras market is the epicentre of everything you need and don’t need - we'll be providing both those things on January 14th so come get in about it ya bastards."

After a trip to Edinburgh and Dundee, he'll be back in Glasgow on January 16 for an album release party at Platform, including a screening of a short film featuring Joesef’s single videos and a conversation with video director Luis Hindman and comedian Paul Black.

Joesef’s current single Just Come Home With Me Tonight is on the Radio 1 playlist and he has released Borderline, another new song from the album, which he describes as ‘probably the most difficult song from the album to share’.
