Newcastle United have inevitably been hit with a two-match Premier League ban for Joelinton.
The Brazilian collected a yellow card on 53 minutes in the clash against Man City today at the Etihad Stadium to take him to 10 bookings for the season. This resulted in a two match suspension which will be immediately served against Wolves next Sunday then Nottingham Forest away.
Joelinton entered the book after a foul on Rodri at the start of the second half meaning Joe Willock and Elliot Anderson come back into contention for the next couple of games. Joelinton was always going to be up against it and went into today's game needing to avoid a yellow card for the next nine matches.
