Joelinton was in a buoyant mood at full time against Brentford as the Magpies made it four wins from five and seven games unbeaten. The Brazil midfielder claims Newcastle did everything Eddie Howe asked of them as they moved further away from the relegation zone.
Newcastle's number 7 has found a new lease of life in a deeper midfielder role and acknowledged that the Magpies had played better since the arrival of Howe. "Since he's arrived I think we've played better," Joelinton told NUFC TV. "In the first game we couldn't win but everyone said how good we were.
"Now we've started to win, the confidence is high and there's positivity around the group. Now it's time to enjoy today and Monday we'll start again, work hard and look to the next game."

Joelinton opened the scoring just after the half hour mark against the ten men of Brentford with a powerful header beyond Bees keeper David Raya. The midfielder then ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the travelling Toon Army.
He added: "I think it was a great game. We started the game well. We pressed, we played well and did everything the coach asked us to do. It's a great feeling to win the game.
"I'm really happy [to score] it happened so quickly. The work we did in the week, we worked hard to try and be better and today I'm lucky to score.
"It's a great feeling to score. I ran to the fans because they've supported me and supported the team in a long trip here. They deserve it. They are always behind us. The goal was for the fans, my family and all the people behind us.
"It's great for the team, to win a hard game here against a good team. The confidence is high and we play well. The way we play - we have to keep going and keep our concentration. We need to do our best in training and in games."
The 25-year-old also revealed his delight for fellow Brazilian Bruno Guimaraes. Newcastle's £40million signing has been limited to minutes here and there from the bench, but Howe gave the former Lyon midfielder half an hour to showcase his ability against the Bees.
"He's a great guy," Joelinton said. "I'm happy for him. He wants to play. His energy when he comes onto the pitch will help us a lot and I'm very happy for him."
