Joel Embiid went full ‘Troel’ mode and broke NBA Twitter with a tweet about the Miami Heat

If there’s anybody out there who knows the power of the internet, it’s Joel Embiid.

He is a master troll, after all. This is a guy who speaks with memes. He’s trolled Ben Simmons, Donovan Mitchell, the Golden State Warriors and so many more folks around the NBA. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

So clearly, folks, this is a guy who knows the power his tweets hold. Which is why it’s so hilarious that he tweeted about the Miami Heat needing another star player during Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals and expected people to make nothing of it.

Embiid let off a series of tweets in the middle of the game asking if the Heat still had a chance and suggesting that they just needed more to win.

Of course, this tweet sent basketball Twitter into a frenzy. Why wouldn’t it? This is all after Jimmy Butler told us he still wishes Embiid was his teammate. On top of that, Embiid’s situation isn’t the brightest in Philadelphia right now. He failed to make first-team All-NBA or win MVP and James Harden looks like a shell of himself.

The fans aren’t doing anything but reading the tea leaves. There’s nothing really there from this tweet. But it doesn’t take much for NBA fans to start photoshopping you into a new jersey.

That’s exactly what happened here.
