Joe Worrall makes 'tough' Nottingham Forest admission

Joe Worrall has urged Nottingham Forest fans to stick with the club throughout the season as Steve Cooper's side will face 'tough moments' aiming to beat the drop.

Forest have started the season slowly after collecting four points in their first six games, winning once against West Ham and drawing at Everton last month. The club recruited 22 players over the summer window and Cooper knows he must get what is a new-look squad to gel quickly.

Club captain Worrall insists that he and the rest of Cooper's squad are well aware of the task in hand as Forest aim to secure the top-flight status beyond this season, having gained promotion back to the Premier League through the play-offs last term.

Worrall told Premier League productions: "We’re under no illusions that for the last 12 months we’ve been used to winning football matches. As a dressing room, we’re a group that wants to win football matches.

"This is the Premier League though and it’s a different level. A lot of people might say, 'oh, Forest aren’t good enough for the Premier League'. The players and the fans, we need to stick by each other. There will be some tough, tough moments this season but during the tough times we will need each other."
