Joe Wicks has opened up about his past, admitting it's not all been smooth sailing to get to where he is today.
The Body Coach, 34, said that although he's proud of the fitness empire's he's built in the last six years, his kids are actually what he's most proud of.
And while from the outside looking in Joe's life may look picture-perfect to some, not everything has been this way back when he was a kid.
Growing up in a council estate in Epsom, Joe faced many hardships when it came to family life.
His beloved father Gary was largely absent due to his drug addiction and time in rehab, which made Joe crave a perfect family life even more.
Speaking to Closer, he said: "My dad suffered with a drug addiction – he was so loving and amazing when he was there, but he’d always be disappearing to rehab or be out of the house.
“He’d always be arguing with my mum, and home life was quite unstable. I really worked hard to build a strong foundation with Rosie and be conscious about how I interact with her.”
And Joe admits that after witnessing his mum and dad's arguments, he's made it his mission to ensure his kids don't see the same when it comes to him and his wife.
He went on: “I don’t want to shout and swear, like my mum and dad did, I want to be polite and respectful and teach my kids to communicate calmly.
“My experience of home life as a kid definitely helped me become a better adult. Looking back to where I started, you really wouldn’t have expected much from me – I was a bit of an angry, disruptive class clown."
But it seems as though the fitness guru has managed to overcome the obstacles and come out the other end a successful family man.
it comes as Joe confirmed he and wife Rosie are planning a third child together.
They loved-up pair welcomed son Marley back in December, three months before Joe was forced to spearhead a national fitness drive to help kids through the pandemic.
They also have two-year-old Indie but according to Joe, they aren't stopping there.
Joe explained to OK! Magazine that they are very keen to expand their brood.
The fitness star said: "We talk about having more kids in the future. We are having a break first, though. Rosie is so amazing at it."
He added: "She takes them out and does activities – soft play and the park. I love that she’s always doing activities with them."
"We’re one of those couples who are better together than apart. We’ve always been like that since day one.
"We have been interconnected, we travel together and whenever I could, I’d take her on every trip. Even before lockdown, my home was where I did my workouts and we worked around it. It’s brought us closer together."
