Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon both suffered post-wedding 'blues' after their dream nuptials.
Former EastEnders actor Joe appeared on Loose Women on Friday, as he opened up about his wedding to presenter Stacey Solomon, 33, at Pickle Cottage earlier this year - gushing how he felt 'so blessed' to tie the knot with the 'most amazing woman' at their Essex home in July.
The one-time King of the Jungle also opened up about the journey he and Stacey have been on over the years, ever since the newly-weds met in Australia thanks to reality TV show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and went on to strike up a romance and welcome two children into the world together.
Joe and Stacey became husband-and-wife at their Essex home, Pickle Cottage, on July 25, with their four sons all played a big part in their special day - acting as Joe's best men and making emotional speeches that moved Loose Women presenter Stacey to tears as she looked on with pride.
Chatting to Kaye Adam, Judi Love, Linda Robson and Dame Kelly Holmes on the ITV show on Friday, Joe looked back on his wedding day and gushed: "I felt so lucky that day. I was marrying the most amazing woman and I look back and it's been a journey. I felt so blessed on the day."
Laughing, Joe went on to admit that after the picturesque wedding, he and Stacey had the 'wedding blues' and found themselves spending a few days saying: "What are we going to do now?"
The dad-of-three also opened up about the 'healthy competition' between himself and his wife, as both stars release new books at the same time and prepare to battle it out in the bestsellers' chart.
"Stacey's a lot more competitive than me but even things like loading dishwasher," Joe admitted on Loose Women's last broadcast of the week.
"It's healthy competition," he continued before adding: "We've both got a book out at the moment but luckily in different categories. We didn't realize [we'd be releasing our books at a] similar time."
Earlier this month, Stacey discussed married life and how she and Joe blended their two families at the start of their love story - admitting it took a lot of hard work at times to keep everyone happy and feeling valued.
After suffering tragic miscarriages, Stacey and Joe welcomed their second child together into the world on 4 October 2021, Stacey's birthday, and shared a beautiful photo of their newborn daughter next to a rose with their fans shortly after the birth - revealing her name, Rose.
The former X Factor finalist is also mum to son Rex, three with her new husband Joe, as well as Zachary, 13, and nine-year-old Leighton from previous relationships. Joe shares his eldest child Harry, 13, with ex-partner Emma Sophocleous; the former couple split shortly after his birth.
"The blended family situation has been a rocky road,' the mum-of-four admitted to comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe on their podcast,. "That has never been easy."
"We have always had to work really hard to make sure everyone feels secure."
She went on to reveal how her recent wedding, where her and Joe's four eldest son's made speeches, made her feel more reassured about her blended family and confessed the kind words from their children left her in floods of tears.
