Joe Salisbury splits from doubles partner Rajeev Ram after four grand slam wins

Joe Salisbury has split from his long-term doubles partner Rajeev Ram after four grand slam titles and nearly six years together.

One of the most successful partnerships of recent years, Salisbury and American Ram won the Australian Open in their second season together in 2020 before becoming the first team in the Open era to win three successive US Open men's doubles titles between 2021 and 2023.

They also won 10 ATP Tour titles together, including the ATP Finals in 2022 and 2023, and were both ranked number one in the world.

Ram wrote on Instagram: "Six years is a long time in the life of a professional tennis player. Joe and I had some amazing wins, some epic matches and moments, and some gut wrenching losses.

"But the reality is that the reason we got to experience some of the highest highs in the sport and were able to recover from the lowest lows were the people around us. We played together for six years, but we made memories and friends for a lifetime... and for that I'm truly grateful."

Londoner Salisbury, 32, is the British number one in doubles and 11th in the world.
