Joe Rogan clarified his political stance following his recent endorsement of Donald Trump, while calling the inauguration "bizarre" and asserting that he does not identify as a Republican on the latest episode of his podcast.

Rogan's endorsement of Trump during the 2024 presidential election, along with his participation in Trump's inauguration and interviews with the former president, prompted speculation about his political leanings, Mediate reported.

Known for supporting Libertarian-leaning politicians and holding progressive social views, Rogan has often expressed frustration with partisan politics.

On his podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience," Rogan described Trump's inauguration as "bizarre" and emphasized his disinterest in aligning with either major political party.

"I don't consider myself a Republican. I don't consider myself a Democrat either. I consider myself an American. I'm a human being and there's a lot of things that the Democrats believe that I believe," he said.

Rogan reiterated his belief in evaluating ideas based on their merit rather than their source, criticizing the polarization that comes with strict party loyalty.

"There's a lot of things that they say that I say, that makes a lot of sense to me, and there's a lot of things that the Republicans say [where] I say, that makes a lot of sense to me too. And the idea that I have to ignore things that make sense to me because it's coming from the wrong team is just stupid," he continued.

Rogan's comments continue to spark debate among his listeners and critics, reflecting the broader conversation about political identity and the challenges of navigating a deeply divided political landscape.
