Comedian Joe Lycett appears to have live streamed himself shredding £10,000 after "gay icon" David Beckham refused to pull out of his role as an ambassador of the football World Cup in Qatar.
Lycett issued an ultimatum to Beckham over his ambassadorship to Qatar, a country which bans same-sex relationships and has a poor record on human rights, saying he would shred the money in a woodchipper unless the former footballer stepped down from his role.
At 12pm on the website benderslikebeckham.com, Lycett silently approached two large stacks of five pound notes, before walking over to a large industrial shredder in background, and throwing both into the hopper. A shower of shredded cash flew out of the other side.

Lycett made the threat to shred the cash if Beckham didn't pull out of a multi-million-pound deal to promote the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Beckham has come in for heavy criticism over the controversial issues in the Middle East country.
Beckham, who made his name playing for Manchester United before going on to represent some of the other massive clubs in Europe like Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan, is reportedly set to bank £10 million for his role at the World Cup, with some reports claiming that number could be as high as £150 million.
And, in a social media post last week, Lycett said Beckham's "status as a gay icon will be shredded" as he went on to explain that Qatar was "voted as one of the worst places in the world to be gay".
In Qatar, participating in same-sex sexual activity can be punished with up to seven years in prison, or even the death penalty.
He gave Beckham until 12pm UK time on Sunday, November 20 to back out of his ambassadorship deal and began a countdown to midday by posting photos of the woodchipper and the wad of cash.
