Joe Lycett says he has spoken to David Beckham 's team amid the recent controversy about the former footballer's involvement with the World Cup in Qatar.
The comedian, 34, had publicly urged David, 47, to pull out of his multi-million pound sponsorship deal last month over the treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals in the country.
David did not fulfil the request, prompting Joe to 'pretend to shred' £10,000 - with him later telling his followers that he had actually donated the money to charity instead.
Joe issued an update this week whilst appearing on a podcast, saying he has now spoken to David's team but isn't "satisfied" with the situation at the moment.
When asked if he had heard from David, he said on the News Agents podcast: "I've not heard directly from Beckham. We have had some movement with his people.
"Basically, we've had some contact with them. [...] Legally at the minute, I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say. I'm not satisfied with where we've got to, let's put it that way."
The podcast's co-host Emily Maitlis, 52, asked if they were offering money or donations, to which Joe responded: "No, none of that. They're not really offering anything really".

He continued: "They're just talking to us a little bit." He added: "I think they're just trying to get it to go away really. Which it will eventually, and it won't affect him long term."
The episode saw co-host Jon Sopel, 63, suggest Joe may get approached by an advertising agency in the future in response to the way he has gone about the situation.
"I honestly can't think of anything that has been done in PR or advertising for ten grand that has garnered so much attention as what you did," the journalist commented.
Joe had addressed David - who he referred to as a "gay icon" - in a video last month, calling on him to end his relationship with Qatar - where homosexuality is illegal.
He had told the former footballer: "If you end your relationship with Qatar, I'll donate this ten grand of my own money to charities that support queer people in football."
The comedian warned if he didn't, he would shred the money before the opening ceremony of the World Cup. He later stated that he had donated it to charity instead.
