Joe Lycett mocks Catherine Zeta-Jones' attempt to be relatable on London tube

Joe Lycett has savagely mocked Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-Jones after she posted a video of herself taking the London Underground.

Last month, the 53-year-old actress - who originally shot to fame in the drama series The Darling Buds of May - posted a video of herself smiling at the camera as looked discreetly while travelling on the tube in London.

At the time, the Welsh actress sported a tweed coat and matching baker boy hat along with a scarf and oversized sunglasses as she appeared to attempt to hide her identity from eagle-eyed fans.

However, Catherine managed to escape the busy crowds the one time she documented herself taking the underground as she showcased an empty carriage on Instagram.

“When you’re the only one on the Tube and you’re very happy,” she declared at the time, turning her camera to reveal the empty carriage.

"London, just me, on public transport," she added.

After the video went viral, comedian Joe Lycett has now mocked Catherine's attempt to appear relatable after taking the tube.

The 34-year-old comedian appeared to find himself in the same lucky position as the Hollywood actress as he found himself on an empty tube.

Joe recreated Catherine's video as he filmed himself donning a pair of sunglasses and a red jacket before rehashing the actor's monologue on her viral video.

It didn't take long for fans to react to Joe's hilarious video as one commented: "Cannot tell the difference if I’m being honest with yew."

"I can’t work out whether it’s CZJ, Joan Collins or Posh," another echoed.

"You cannot come for Cathy Zeets like this," someone else quipped.

Someone else joked: "It's Joe all the way..his dulcet tones and self-awareness are the best."

"The rebellious kick she is getting on... PUBLIC Transport. Trying but failing to play it," someone else mocked.
