Joe Hart's four word Celtic send off to Oliver Abildgaard after transfer switch to Hellas Verona

Joe Hart has sent Oliver Abildgaard a four word message after he departed Celtic for a new adventure in Italy.

Ange Postecoglou snapped up the midfielder on a season-long loan deal from Rubin Kazan during the summer window but with first team chances limited due to the form of the likes of Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Aaron Mooy, Matt O'Riley and with David Turnbull another in the ranks, he has been allowed to cut his loan short and move to Hellas Verona.

The 26-year-old featured nine times in total for the Scottish champions including appearances in the Champions League against RB Leipzig and Real Madrid. Despite his time in Glasgow being short and sweet, the midfielder hailed the atmosphere at Parkhead as 'truly special' as he thanked the club for getting him back on track physically and ready for his stint in Serie A. Posting an image of himself playing for the Hoops on Instagram, he wrote: "It all comes to an end, before it even started. Despite my short period of time in the club, I have witnessed the truly special atmosphere at paradise, the incredible support from our fans and the beautiful values this club is based on.

"I want to express my gratitude to @celticfc for, amongst other things, getting me back on track physically and fully fit to start my next adventure.

"Thanks for all the beautiful memories you have given me. That I will carry with me forever. I wish all the best of luck to everyone connected to the club. Can’t wait to get started in @hellasveronafc."

Celtic No1 Joe Hart commented: "Good luck big man" along with a green love heart.

Liel Abada also sent a similar message that read: "Good luck bro." while Carl Starfelt simply posted two red love hearts.

Mortiz Jenz - who like Abildgaard left the club this month with his loan cut short - replied: "Congrats bro. We’ll see you in Italia."

His new side face a battle for top flight survival and currently sit 18th in the league standings, five points from safety. His debut could come in a big home clash with Lazio next week.
