Joe Hart gets the hard work in early as Celtic No1 looks to head into pre-season on high

Joe Hart has been working up a sweat as he aims to return for pre-season on a high.

The Celtic No1 has been in the gym putting in the hard miles ahead of his second season at Parkhead.

The former England international arrived last summer and was instantly installed as the first-choice under Ange Postecoglou.

His experience has proved vital both domestically and in Europe as the Hoops reclaimed the Scottish Premiership title from Rangers and lifted the Premier Sports Cup.

Champions League football is on the agenda at Parkhead next season and Hart and Co will be looking to make a splash on Europe's premier competition while aiming to retain their league crown.

One video shows Hart smashing his bike work out while he also uploaded a number of clips from his gym session.

The 35-year-old joined Celtic from Tottenham on a three-year deal last season and Postecoglou reckons his No1 is at the Scottish champions for the long haul.

He said: “Joe’s still young for a goalkeeper.

“I just felt he’s still got a bit to prove. He’s said himself, he needed a bit of love, and I knew he’d get it at this football club.

"I knew the supporters would embrace him and he loved it here with the group we were putting together.

“There’s no reason he can’t keep it going for a lot longer.”
