Joe Gelhardt outlines what next after his 'crazy' Leeds United winner against Norwich City

The current campaign has been largely forgettable for Leeds United but teenage forward Joe Gelhardt has provided some memorable moments.

His electric cameo against Wolves last October and his finish against Chelsea back in December both sent Leeds supporters into a frenzy and he has once again delivered at a crucial moment.

Full-time was edging closer against Norwich City when Gelhardt met Raphinha's pass and steered into a net vacated by Canaries stopper Tim Krul.

At 19, he generates a unique buzz inside stadiums when it becomes apparent he will be introduced and his days away from the first-team are firmly in his rearview mirror.

When asked if the win over Norwich represented a turning point, he answered: "Yeah, I do. I think as a group we've already said in the changing room, don't stop now.

"We can take all this into Wolves and hopefully get a result there as well."

The trip to Wolves will be made on Friday for an 8pm kick-off and Leeds will undoubtedly be backed by a healthy travelling crowd.

Despite having made just 12 league appearances this season, Gelhardt has firmly won over the Whites fanbase and many will be hoping he features again at Molineux.

He said: "It was an unbelievable feeling when I saw it hit the net and the place just went up. It was crazy. I'm happy for the three points, as obviously we needed to win that game.

"Even in the second half, we missed some chances when we could have put the game to bed but obviously when you're attacking you leave yourselves open and you can concede, but at the end of the day we're happy to get three points, it was needed."

Nine games remain for Jesse Marsch's side and the 48-year-old is not operating with a bulky squad having taken over from Marcelo Bielsa, who famously prefers to work with a leaner squad.

This means Gelhardt is likely to be leaned on during the run-in and there could yet be more memorable moments served up by man affectionately referred to as 'Joffy'.
