Joe Gelhardt details his Leeds United learning curve under Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch

Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt has compared his time under current Whites boss Jesse Marsch and his predecessor Marcelo Bielsa as he discussed their coaching styles.

Marsch took over from Bielsa in February last year after the Argentinian manager left the club following four years in charge and was able to keep the Yorkshire club in the Premier League.

Speaking with BBC Radio West Yorkshire, Gelhardt spoke about how both managers helped to better his ability and the similarities in how it was working under both of them.

"Obviously with Marcelo, he was very knowledgeable on the game. He taught me a lot of things and that's the same with Jesse now. I'm still learning a lot every day I come in and we watch videos from time to time to see where I can get better.

"Every day, I'm learning and taking on more knowledge and I'm sure I will be in years to come, so I try and listen to them as much as I can and try to implement it into my game."

Gelhardt has had five league appearances this season for the Whites and has impressed in the U-21s side, scoring 18 goals in 26 games in the Premier League 2.
