Joe Flacco is back with the Jets on a one-year, $3.5 million deal, most of which is guaranteed.
Flacco will earn $1.12 million in base salary and a $1.73 million prorated signing bonus, according to Over The Cap. He also has roster bonuses worth up to $650,000 per game. Flacco’s cap charge will be $3.42 million.
At least one Jets player is happy about the move. Zach Wilson tweeted his excitement over the Jets keeping the “elite QB” around.
Between Wilson, Flacco and Mike White, the Jets have almost $14 million in cap space dedicated to the quarterback position. That’s not terrible relative to the rest of the league, but Wilson needs to outperform his rookie deal.
