Joe Exotic is the only member of the LGBT community running for president. He is also a sharp critic of the transgender rights movement. As a gay man, Exotic has said he’s not “fan of the transgender movement, even as a gay male I think it is shoved in everyone’s face way too much.”
The former zookeeper made his prominence on the Netflix hit, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, which was the biggest documentary hit at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also opposes the use of transgender individuals to use a public bathroom of their preference. Though he admits if he still ran a zoo— he would stock Bud Light the beverage at the center of a recent row over policies meant to include transpeople.
Exotic saved his sharpest words for efforts to brand child as transgender at a young age which he feels over sexualizes children.
“Hell, most of us didn’t know if we even still know who the hell we are or what we want until our 30s and 40s and to this day I wish I would have had kids and a family. As a business owner I also believe this expense is not our problem to build bathrooms for them either, if you have a penis, you are p*ssing in the boy’s bathroom. You will not pee in a bathroom with my 4-year-old niece.”
Joe Exotic, who’s real is Joseph Maldonado, is running for President of the United States from prison.
While Debs and Peltier ran third-party campaign efforts— Exotic has entered the Democratic primary against President Joe Biden for the nomination in a wide-range interview with Zenger News conducted while Exotic was being held in the Federal Medical Center in Dallas.
Exotic was a former zoo operator in Wynnewood, Oklahoma where he owned the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Zoo.
In his most recent marriages, Exotic was previously unofficially married to John Finley & Travis Maldonado at the same time. After Finley split from the unofficial marriage, Exotic and Maldonado were legally married.
Prior to being named, Joseph Maldonado, Exotic’s previous legal name was Joseph Allen Schriebvogel.
Exotic is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence that involves federal crimes for the abuse of crimes, and murder-for-scheme an attempted hit on his former rival zookeeper Carole Baskin.
This isn’t the first time Exotic has run for President of the United States.
In 2016, Exotic ran an independent for president and attained ballot access in Colorado and received 962 votes. He gained media exposure in Last Week with John Oliver covering Exotic’s write-in campaign as part of coverage.
Exotic subsequently supported then-Republican candidate Donald Trump over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
He would later run as governor for Oklahoma as a member of the Libertarian party. He lost the primary where he only received 664 votes.
Justice Reform A Key Part Of the Campaign
In addition to being a prisoner, Exotic is a former police officer in Eastvale, Texas. At the age of 19 he claims he was police chief of the small department and has strong views on criminal justice reform and the failed promises of Joe Biden.
“President Biden has done nothing for criminal justice reform. We have two justice systems in this country,” said Exotic in his criticisms to the president. “Under the Constitution you are allowed a fair trial, but the minute you ask for one they punish you with more charges and then blackmail you with a higher sentence if you lose because you took them to trial. Just as they did me by stacking 20 more charges on me for taking it to trial.”
Exotic later called out Biden’s, son Hunter Biden, having too much privilege being the First Son.
“Hunter Biden should be in prison for possession of illegal drugs, there are over 30,000 black, brown and white people that are poor in prison for Ghost Dope which means they were not even busted with drugs, just someone saying they had them and there are photos of Hunter with crack and smoking crack along with his laptop and how he was making money with his dad as a VP of this country.”
Hunter was surrounded with controversy over his dealing in Ukraine where he was the board member of Burisma. His laptop was retrieved at a computer shop where Rudy Giuliani’s associates obtained it. Biden’s son never bothered to pick it up.
“The Federal System refuses bond, as well, and that forces you to have public defenders, as you are kidnapped by this system and unable to care for your business, work, or pay for a proper legal team–just as I was held without bond when people that commit murder are allowed bond in state cases,” said Exotic of the criminal justice system.
Exotic was originally sentenced for 22 years in prison in 2019 as the judge reduced it to 21 years in prison. Exotic feels his situation is unjust and compared his sentence to that of Kim Potter, a former police officer in Minnesota who was convicted for the murder of Duane Wright. Potter wa released from prison after serving a 16-month sentence.
“Kim Potter killed a man, I don’t care if it was an accident, she wasn’t trained right, or whatever, and she is out of prison already when people are in here–including me–that have evidence we are innocent and never hurt anyone, not to mention all the white-collar crimes that people are serving 10 to 30 years for,” the former zoo keep slamming the convicted cop as he is currently serving his 21-year sentence.
