Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow didn’t have much to say about a possible contract extension while talking with the media on Wednesday.
Burrow opted to instead mostly chat about his injury and the matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
Buy Bengals TicketsBut the star quarterback couldn’t completely dodge the topic, so he used it to reinforce the idea that he wants to be with the Bengals for his entire career.
“This is where I want to be my whole career,” Burrow said. “We’re working towards making that happen.”
Burrow described the contract extension as the “last thing” he’s thinking about right now, but called what he views as an eventuality as “icing on the cake” to top everything else off.
Given the comments, a Burrow extension seems like a mere formality — one that could happen at literally any second.
