Joe Burrow offers advice for Browns fans who want to root for Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn’t opposed to in-state fans of the Cleveland Browns coming on over and hopping on the bandwagon.

After beating the Browns last weekend, Burrow fielded a question about the fanbases and if he could be able or willing to convert fans to the other side of the Battle of Ohio.

The exchange:

Ohio is historically seen as the Browns’ state. Can you change that?

‘It is what it is. If people want to root for them, it is what it is. We love our fans. If you want to come on over, you can hop on the bandwagon.'”

Hailing from Athens, a college town that sees an influx of both fans each year, Burrow knows a thing or two about walking a tightrope between the fanbases.

But now? He’s not opposed to Browns fans coming on over for the ride. Cincinnati, fresh off the Super Bowl, just effectively ended Cleveland’s season while winning a fifth in a row, the goal making it back to the Super Bowl again.
