Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow returned to practice for Wednesday’s joint session with the Green Bay Packers.
Returned, meaning he ended his streak of absences from practices and was out there with his guys.
Since his calf injury, Burrow hadn’t been seen at a practice, instead opting to use those on-field times for rehab, weight room work and otherwise.
Before this new development, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had reiterated his “several weeks” timeline for Burrow. That would imply that Burrow’s return on Wednesday wasn’t a sign he was any closer to being cleared.
And if one had had to predict when Burrow would re-emerge at a practice, it was always going to be with the Packers in town for a practice session that should have a live-game feel.
