Joe Burrow is breaking his silence on his season-ending wrist injury.
On Thursday, Burrow arrived at his matchup against the Baltimore Ravens sporting some new gear on his right wrist. That was a shock to many viewing the broadcast. Unfortunately, he seemingly hurt the same wrist during the game and could not return to play.
On Friday, Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals stunned NFL fans by revealing that his wrist injury was season-ending. The news left many questions about how Burrow got to this point. He attempted to provide some context during a presser on Friday by explaining why his wrist was wrapped up before Thursday’s game.
#Bengals QB Joe Burrow was asked about the video circulating of him wearing a brace on his hand the day before the game:
“This is a completely different thing…”
Burrow said that it was a compression sleeve and it was to prevent his hand/arm from swelling up due to the altitude… pic.twitter.com/WU1gq8sffx

That doesn’t clear up everything, but it’s certainly notable as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the NFL is looking into whether the Bengals skirted the league’s injury compliance rules.
