Cystic Fibrosis Ireland ambassador and former football star Joe Brolly has revealed the kind words Joe Biden had for CF patients during his recent visit to Ireland.
Brolly was pictured chatting to the US President who reportedly asked him about the purple rose on his lapel. Brolly responded by detailing 65 Roses Day and the work done by Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and its benefits, which includes an increase in life expectancy from 20 to 45 years.
According to a tweet by Brolly, the US President responded by asking the former All-Ireland winner to "pass on his love & respect to all our CF patients".

The tweet was then shared by Cystic Fibrosis Ireland who said "Thank you President Biden for this message of support to everyone with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland and to our ambassador @JoeBrolly1993 for telling him about 65 Roses Day and the work being done by Cystic Fibrosis Ireland! #65RosesDay2023"
Brolly is a long time Cystic Fibrosis Ireland ambassador and has appeared in the media on many occassions to highlight the work done by the foundation. Brolly's close friend, Gary Dillon, died from the condition in 2014.
