Joe Aribo transfer latest as Rangers told they could earn '£8 million' and star's preferred city suggested

Rangers hero Kenny Miller reckons the Light Blues can demand around £8 million for Joe Aribo - and it might be a return to London that is on the cards shortly.

The Nigerian international is just off the back of a marathon season that included 70 games, a Scottish Cup final victory, Europa League final place and action at the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria. He now heads into a big summer with 12 months on his current contract at Rangers.

Nottingham Forest have been linked, as have fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace. Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent are in the same situation, with Miller thinking London-born Aribo may fancy a return to where he is from.

Ex-striker Miller says Rangers must consider all their options, writing on the situation his Sunday Mail column: "With a year left on his contract, teams won’t be stupid with potential bids.

"Rangers will have a valuation of what he’s worth and it’s about whether they can find that common ground with a buyer.

"Aribo, Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent are all going into their last year. They’re all starting players so you don’t want constant speculation.

"It can sidetrack the player and become a sideshow for the manager who gets asked about it every week. So I’d like to see Aribo’s situation resolved quickly.

"Either re-sign him or if the board are willing to sell, let’s bring in the most money we can. London probably makes sense for Joe because it’s where he grew up.

"He will have ambitions of playing in the Premier League. And of those three players, you have to think at least one will move on. Joe only signed for around £300k. If Rangers can get around £8million for him it’s good business."
