Jodie Comer has been nominated in the Outstanding Actress category for her performance in Killing Eve.
Best known for her portrayal as Villanelle in the BBC America spy thriller Killing Eve, Jodie has just landed another critically acclaimed award nomination. The Liverpool-born actress has been honoured in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category and will face off against the likes of Rhea Seehorn and even her co-star Sandra Oh for the win.
The 29-year-old won her first Emmy back in 2019 for the same category along with a British Television award in the same year. During her Emmy acceptance speech in 2019, Jodie thanked her fans and family for their support as she accepted her first award for the show.

Taking to the stage, she said: "I was not expecting to get up on this stage at all. I can not believe I am in a category alongside these women, one of them who is my co-star Sandra Oh.
"Safe to say, Sandra, that this Killing Eve journey has been an absolute whirlwind and I feel so lucky to have shared the whole experience with you."
Thanking people, she added: "My mum and dad who are in Liverpool, who I didn't invite because I didn't think this was going to be my time. One, I'm sorry. Two, I love you and I'm going to bring it home."
The Killing Eve star has been with the series since it aired back in 2018 but will not be taking her character any further as the BBC has axed the show. Speaking to Radio Times about the show's cancellation, co-star Kim Bodnia admitted he was surprised as he said: "I mean, like everybody else watching this show, [I'm thinking] 'Why end [the show]?' [The series] is working is fine, and is new. And it's like, 'Why don't we keep on going?"
The 2022 Emmys are scheduled for September 12th.
