Chelsea and Todd Boehly have a paramount decision to make in the summer regarding Joao Felix. The forward is currently on loan from Atletico Madrid and has already more than impressed in his opening games within Graham Potter's side.
An unfortunate red card on his debut at Fulham meant he missed the following three games. Upon his return, he scored his first Chelsea goal in the draw at West Ham and was one of the most dangerous players on the pitch in the UEFA Champions League defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
Felix’s temporary move from La Liga was greeted with heavy criticism. Many have claimed the move didn't make much sense due to the finances involved as Boehly's spending in January was largely scrutinised.

Chelsea are paying 100 per cent of the 23-year-old's wages for the remainder of the season and football.london understands the move was completed for a fee below the €11million quoted last month.
With Christopher Nkunku expected to bolster Potter's attacking options at the end of the season, a permanent move for Felix had seemed unlikely. However, a summer switch will only continue to be a temptation for the U.S billionaire as the Portuguese continues to shine in London.
Following reports from Fabrizio Romano that Chelsea could secure Felix's services for less than the £106.1m-£114.9m previously reported, it has emerged that a figure of £85m could be sufficient in completing the deal. That's according to Matteo Moretto, who claims mainstream agent Jorge Mendes will play a key role in any business done.
And against Dortmund in the Champions League, Felix has continued to make his mark on the Chelsea squad with a fine display in Germany. The forward was unfortunate not to add to his goal at the weekend with two chances squandered.
The first did not test goalkeeper Gregor Kobel but the second was arguably the best chance of the contest prior to Karim Adeyemi's superb solo goal. After taking the ball down well and beating Dortmund's defence, Felix fired the ball against the crossbar from close range.
The television cameras were quick to capture the reaction of co-owners Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, who were in attendance to watch the Blues in action. The pair were pictured sharing a joke and chuckling after the missed opportunity as they watched on.
Felix's loan switch may be turned permanent in the summer, even despite Nkunku's arrival. Kai Havertz's future in the Premier League remains unclear and has been linked with a return to Germany.
Whatever happens, Boehly will be monitoring Felix's performances until the end of the season before making a crucial decision over a possible transfer.
